dank ass beer. pours a darker red shade with a jovial white head. smells like a sour brett concoction. flavor is great, really sour brett up front, but more nuanced unrolling, with some red licorice and caramel malt. had a very funky memorable finish. tart and assertive. mouthfeel is great, very very lively carbonation with a piquant conclusion. great example of an american wild beer. way way better than the blue one, and more seductive than the red one. sessionable

Poured from a "bomber" bottle into a wine goblet.
Cloudy apricot in color, with a moderate head of off-white foam.
Aroma-Spicy, Belgian funkiness
Taste-Spicy yeast, orchard fruits, some Belgian funkiness, and a definite sour/tartness that is the trademark of Jolly Pumpkin brews. Not a mindblower, but a fine refreshing beer on a warm Spring or Summer day.

An interesting beer for sure, really tastes like a hoppy cider. Apple flavor really comes through, medium body, somewhat clean finish. Plenty of taste but is definitely a bit tart, which hurts the drinkability a bit. One of the more unique beers you'll try, but with the expensive price tag and overly done tartness, you'd be hard pressed to finish this bottle too quickly.

Batch 813/814, Bottled on 6/6/2011; Poured into a pint glass.

Appearance - Hazy glowing golden copper with a nice fluffy head with great retentionHazy copper colored with two fingers of head that had excellant retention.

Aroma - very floral; roses. light fruit; pears.

Taste - Nice bright acidity with a yeasty finish. Reminds me of a hoppy cider. Lots of tropical fruit and like I mentioned, hops. It's herbacious and "green tasting". VERY delicious.

Mouthfeel - Light to medium bodied, a nice balance of sweet and dry.

Overall, very enjoyable. I could drink many of these, often. Refreshing, not punishing. Lighter but very complex, a lot going on. Definitely recommend this.
