I found this bottle at Bello Vino Markets in Michigan. Only $9 out there. Thanks to GranCruDrew for helping me find what I was looking for. I had the opportunity to share this beer with bookert and phnphilly. I must say, Jolly Pumpkin consistently blows my mind. How is it that they never make a beer I dont like. Once again, well done. This is one of the less sour of the JP beers but there is still a recognizable light tartness/funk (brett) that comes through the fruit and malt flavors.
Appearance: Pours translucent but not transparent light brown with a drop of red hue. It has a frothy head and leaves some nice lace spotted on my snifter glass.
Smell: Caramel and ripe fruit salad with plum cherry and apple pinaple with just a drop of lemon then a bit of oak wood and a gentle tartness so you know it is JP.
Taste: The toasted caramel malt flavors move aside just enough to let some funkyness show through in a very controlled degree. It starts with fruity semisweet tart apple and raisin and wooden barrel attribute. The finish has a dryness about it with just beautiful touch of acidity, that stay on the cheek causing me to want the next sip, making it a perfect dinking beer.
Mouthfeel: Solid medium body feels creamy on the cheeks and slick through the center.
Drinkability: I could drink this all day and night! Mmm!
Hope this is helpful.
Cheers!

750 ml bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. "French Style Stock Ale - Ale Aged in Oak Barrels". ABV is 7%. Hazy amber to brownish colour, large off-white head. Strong aroma of farmhouse. horse blanket, lemons, oak and apple cider vinegar. Medium sour flavour with lemony and oaky notes, fairly distinct and peppery hops in the finish. "Beware the ides of March!"
