750 ml bottle into a snifter. Bottled 12/8/15, had 9/20/16.

Pours an opaque, dark brown, with a fairly quickly dissipating one inch head, some darker tan foamy lacing. The smell brings a tart and sour aroma, malt, Belgian yeast, cocoa, raisins, some toffee and spices, light cherries. Smells pretty good. The taste also starts a bit tart and sour up front, but that mellows out as it warms. Malt, chocolate, cocoa, yeast, some molasses and caramel, cherries assert a little more than the nose. Fair amount of hop bitterness throughout. Smooth, although seemed a little acidic at times, a good, medium body, well carbonated.

A very good combo Belgian and sour stout, well blended and crafted. Very enjoyable to drink and well worth a purchase.

A nice dark brew that leaves uniform, spotty lacing on the glass. The aroma is like moldy leather you dug out of the basement with your chocolate covered fingers. The taste is the same with moldy notes and tart dark cherries and chocolate. There is a massive amount of flavor in this unique and delicious beer.

Dark chocolate brown and opaque. A bit watery and thin looking but nice.

Really nice smell. Complex. Mix of oak wood and tart. Belgian yeast notes and light chocolate. Taste is wood, tart and hops. Not bad. Body is heavy but thin. Decent but off putting for the style. Not bad. Worth a try.

Black color, tan head. Aroma is roasty and acidic. Taste starts with bitter coffee, tartness, cherry pits and finishes bitter and roasty. Really dry, interesting and quite easy to drink.

L: Poured from a bottle to a pint glass. Had a black color and a thick texture. There was a two inch, foamy, tan-colored, somewhat long-lasting head. Sparse lacing.

S: A good aroma of dark fruit, malt, and some chocolate.

T: Tasted of roasted malt, a bit of chocolate, lemon (surprisingly enough), a hint of coffee, dark fruit (raisins), and a sour funky quality. It's hard to categorize this flavor. It's a weird mix of a stout, a Belgian Strong Dark Ale, and a little bit of a sour beer. Somehow it works (for the most part), though it could have used more of certain ingredients.

F: A fair amount of carbonation with a smooth finish. Medium-bodied; much lighter than most stouts.

O: Definitely an unusual beer, but well worth trying. Drinkable.
