-golden, clear tap pour with a fluffy cap and a Farmhouse nose. The flavor is lemon-funk and the finish is very dry. This is quite a pleasant quaff.

Had at Jolly Pumpkin in Ann Arbor. Pours a thick golden color with strong grapefruit and citrus smell. Taste is a bit tart and hoppy, a nice burst of flavor. I thought it was pretty good until I had a taste of Sarah's El Meloso which was even better.

750ml bottle. Poured out a slightly cloudy, golden color with a large, fluffy, white head of foam. It smelled of tart lemon, floral notes and toasted caramel. Yeasty and tart with lemon, cherry and sweet caramel backbone.

750 ml bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 11/14/2017. Pours fairly hazy pale golden yellow color with a 2 finger fairly dense and rocky white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice dense soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big lightly tart lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, melon, green apple, citrus peel/rind, hay, straw, herbal, floral, grass, oak, peppercorn, pine, wheat, cracker, light leathery/musty funk, and yeast/oak earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of fruity/funky/spicy/light acidic yeast, citrus/earthy hops, oak, and moderate pale malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big lightly tart lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, melon, green apple, citrus peel/rind, hay, straw, herbal, floral, grass, oak, peppercorn, pine, wheat, cracker, light leathery/musty funk, and yeast/oak earthiness. Moderate pine, citrus rind, herbal, woody, grassy bitterness; yeast/oak spiciness, and light lactic tartness on the finish. Lingering notes of tart lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, melon, green apple, citrus peel/rind, hay, straw, herbal, floral, grass, oak, peppercorn, pine, wheat, cracker, light leathery/musty funk, and yeast/oak earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/funky/spicy/light acidic yeast, citrus/earthy hops, oak, and moderate pale malt flavors; with a great malt/bitter/spiciness balance, and zero astringent flavors after the finish. Moderate increasing dryness from bitter/spiciness and carbonation. Medium-high carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, moderately crisp, grainy/sticky/resinous/tannic, and lightly acidic balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol for 6.9%. Overall this is an awesome sour IPA! All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/funky/spicy/light acidic yeast, citrus/earthy hops, oak, and moderate pale malt flavors; very smooth, crisp, and easy to drink with the moderately bitter/spicy/drying finish, never overly aggressive. Great classic hop profile with Amarillo, Cascade, Chinook, Vanguard, and Tettnang. Extremely vibrant, dank, and earthy hop complexity; balanced classic JP house Brett funk, oak, and a solid pale malt backbone. A really enjoyable offering, and spot on wild ale as expected.

a couple of my favorites teaming up for this one, i was stoked to find it on draft! a hazy ipa with a wild bent, i could pick this jolly pumpkin culture out of a million beers, and its very much on display again here, with their classic mix of brett and bacteria, always mature to me, always dry, and fruity, especially in this case with such a bright tropical and citrusy hop complexion, a huge dry hop on this i would imagine, it comes together really well, more sour than i would have expected, but still wild too, mouthwatering in the nose and fully satisfying in taste, even refreshing which is odd in this style. the acidity highlights, for me at least, the citrus flavors of the hops, tons of lemon and meyer lemon and lime too, some acidulated malt is here for sure, some starchy grains too, this feels fluffy and full even with the acidity. subtle white wine and kiwi fruit, kumquat, white currant, its tangy and twangy and juicy. really tasty beer, made even more alive by effervescent carbonation, dry in the finish by my mouth waters for more as soon as i swallow it. on the sourer side for what it is, but i liked this a lot. how could it not be awesome with these two breweries involved?!
