Thanks to thirdeye11 for sharing this beer which has been on my want list.

The beer pours an orange-amber color with a white head. The aroma is a mix of citrus, pepper and some yeast - along with some tartness. The flavor is oranges, yeast, pepper, roses and flowers. There is a little bit of tartness, but it is not a sour beer. Medium mouthfeel and low carbonation.

A very nice saison.

750 ml bottle, blend 3, courtesy of Cardinal Pub 6 Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 6.8%. Pink colour, large pinkish off-white head. Strong aroma of oxidised cider apples, red wine vinegar, farmhouse kitchen, oak and flowers. Moderately sour flavour with fruity notes (rose hips). Peppery and hoppy dry finish. Quite interesting, but not my favourite beer.

L: New label that doesn't match the BeerAdvocate page. Pours reddish orange with a moderate amount of carbonation.

S: Like a sweet wine. The underlying barley+wheat character is there, though.

T: Tart. Palate will adjust to that. A bitter note, the hibiscus gives a cranberry appeal, followed by hop bitterness. I'm not sure what the roses are doing exactly, but the brew overall does taste organic, planty, even flowery. This is a classy beer.

F: A tiny bit of residual sweetness works against the drinkability. Otherwise, it's just dancing my palate.

O: I wanted a saison specifically and while I could have picked from a number of breweries, Jolly Pumpkin has, by far, the largest portfolio. It's definitely a chick beer. I'll have to see if they have anything man flavored.

Look - amber color big lasting white kind of pink head
Smell - tart but sweet and floral
Taste - a lot like the scent but also has some spice to it, probably that hebiscis and rose but I have no ide what those taste like
Feel - pretty light with a lot less carbonation than expected after seeing the massive head
Overall - ok beer, pretty tart and not really showing me anything new

This might have been the first Jolly Pumpkin beer I ever had. I think it was James who picked up a bottle at Craft and we popped it right there. Poured with a slight pink hue to the normal yellow colored beer, plenty of influence and haze provided by the rose hips/petals. Interesting. Slight off white head 1/2". Aroma wasn't of much, largely mute in that regard.

The taste is like huffing on a rose bush in the early morning when dew is still on the leaves and petals. The saison base isn't really dry nor does it have any tartness. There was more breadiness than brettiness I thought. At the end of the day, I thought paying almost $20 for this was something I wouldn't ever want to do. I mean, all day ipa or snpa, I could get a 15 pack of each for the same price.

Copper with a reddish tinge, cloudy, lots of carbonation and 2 fingers of beige, pink tinged head.

Smells of roses, hibiscus, funky cellar, oaken dankness, a sour note and macaroni.

Tastes follows the nose and its slightly sour, mostly dry as opposed to fruity.

Medium, dry, slightly tannic body, with lots of carbonation.

Got this in Saginaw, MI, drinking in Chiang Mai, Thailand, June 19th, 2018. Decent, slightly sour, decadently snobbish brew.

From memory:

Pours a raspberry juice red with a small tight head. Retention isn't great but there is some lacing.

Smell is spicy and funky with the rosehips coming across nicely.

Taste brings the rosehips forward, then tart funk.

Feel is light with active carbonation. The finish is pleasantly dry and it fades nicely.

Overall, a nice beer, not sure I would have it again, but I really liked the finish on this one.
