Pours to a cloudy pale orange color. Foamy head and moderate lacing. Smells of apricot and spice. Almost a Belgian white but also wheaty, Some sediment floating in glass,Good carbonation. Flavor is some citrus with hint of pine. Goes down smooth. Overall i really enjoy this beer. refreshing!

Appearance: Pours a nice golden straw haze color.

Overall: Aroma for this beer is all citrus hops. The taste contains mildly sweet lemon, coriander, wheat malt and moderately bitter herbal flavors. If you need a summer beer with hops, this is it!

Much better than I expected. Wheat, light, some slight spice. But the finish is a tad off.

A - A slightly hazy golden orange body, a short head of white, lacing at the start and traces on the way down.

S - Strong floral note, a sour grain note, and a definite hint of honey.

T - The open is very much a hop front, grapefruit and lemon, zest, with a middle of wheat and limestone, moving to a bitter close that leaves a rather unpleasant metallic aftertaste, like sucking on a penny.

M - Drying in the close, but generally fades rather quickly.

O - The main flaw is the close, where the flavor turns both bitter, which is not a problem, and metallic, which is. It is not that there is nothing good to say here, but ultimately the close means I will not be returning to this one again.

Best by 6/30/16.

Pours a murky honey orange with a foamy bone head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Foamy rings of lace line the glass on the drink down. Tiny particles of sediment are seen suspended in the beer after the pour. Smell is of grain, citrus zest, grapefruit juice, earth, and coriander aromas. Taste is much the same with slightly sour dried orange peel, grapefruit juice, coriander, and earth flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer with an unexpected slight sourness that makes this one pretty refreshing.

Serving type: bottle.

Lovely color. Hazy golden apricot, with a slight honey blush. Just milky with a white crown. Nose is soft and citrusy with a bit of faint orange. Banana and spice. Phenols make up the background. The drink is just tart, dry and very breaddy. Another exceptional beer in a case from saranac. When they first came out with this it had a finish that was a tad sweeter but this year I daresay it's the best ever with a generous bitterness that does not undermine all the complex flavors this had to show.

Quite light, even for style. Minimal head. Some sediment present. Smell is quite hoppy, particularly for style. Not much wheat or malt sweetness on the nose. The same comes across in the taste. Frankly, this is a pale ale, and one that's even on the higher end of hoppiness for that style. Mouthfeel is probably the strongest feature Full and rich, and no slickness. Good level of carbonation, too.

It is Roberto Clemente Night throughout Major League Baseball and so I am wearing my Clemente jersey.

From the bottle: "Wheat malts and oats give it a hazy appearance. Citra hops, orange peel, and coriander create a perfect storm of flavor. This ale is unfiltered, unapologetic and unbelievably good."

I Pop!ped the cap and began a heavy-handed pour that produced two fingers of fluffy, ecru head that slowly fell, leaving great lacing in its wake. Color was a cloudy Golden-Yellow (SRM = > 5, < 7). Nose had a definitive black pepper-like spiciness, so the coriander was accounted for. It was underlain by a sweet citrusiness, but I cannot say for sure that I would have guessed "Orange Peel". Mouthfeel was medium. The taste was quite spicy on the tongue, but I would be hard pressed to tell you its source. The wheat malt, combined with the spice and orange peel, conspired to create a really dry, semi-tart taste. It had a puckering dryness on the finish that I felt as though I could have done without. Phew! It was quite a beer and totally appropriate for summer, but it just was not my bag.
