Nice whitish head and slightly hazy golden look from this beer. Looks pretty nice for a session IPA. My first impression of the nose is unripe grapefruit and malt, maybe something sweet in the back. Still doing pretty good in my book. Here is where the problem arises, it's got generally weak flavor, and the flavor, which itself isn't too bad, is a mix of slight hops bitter/citrus and slight malt(sort of no depth) Also, I think it would benefit this beer to have more carbonation but that's just my opinion.

got 4 cans of this from a variety pack. had 3 of them straight from the can 2 weeks ago at a picnic. thought it was pretty damn good.

pours light gold with a solid head, looks pretty good.

smell is meh. little to nothing here, sweetness.

taste is clean but nice. mellow flavor but a good session beer.

i enjoyed this beer more out of the can during my picnic than in my glass at home.

From a mixed 12 pack bought at Beers of the World, Feb 2016. Served in a Duvel tulip at fridge temp.

Look: Hazy peach, white head, nice lacing.

Smell: Mild tropical fruit

Taste: citric rind bitterness, pale malt

Feel: a little flat

Overall: OK

Appearance: Pours a slightly hazy goldenstraw with a decent enough head; spotty lacing lingers

Smell: Vague tropical fruit and lemony citrus tones

Taste: Slightly grainy, up front, with hints of lemon and tropical fruit in the middle; the bitterness builds into the finish

Mouthfeel: Light bodied with moderate carbonation

Overall: An OK session IPA but rather boring compared to others I have tasted

A thanks to the founding father of the canquest, woodychandler, for this beer. Poured from a 12 oz. can. Has a dark golden color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of citrus, tropical fruits. Taste is light hop, citrus, very little malts, mild bitterness. Feels medium/light in the mouth and overall not bad, but I won't be needing another.

Juicy, floral apricot, peach, and citrus hops. Not huge flavors, like a full-on IPA, but still clean and clear, no bullshiting about them. The aroma is a little vegetal, but otherwise it's a great-tasting, easy-drinking beer.

everyone is making a session ipa these days, and there seems to be a formula that is catching on. you dumb the grain down to a pils or a pale two row base, you hold back on the bittering hops, and you dry hop it like crazy with citra or something like it, and call it your own. we all know who did this first, and who continues to do it best, all others are just posers, and although this one is too, its one of the better posers going, with a really bright citrusy almost pineapple hop complexion in the finish and enough bitterness to assert the fact its still an ipa. the grain does have some flavor too, which I actually am starting to look for in these, the hop waters aren't cutting it anymore. it gives it a little more body than it needs, but the flavor is nice. a little big to be super refreshing, just a touch filling, not a six pack slammer, but a reasonable facsimile to it, and a nice new one from Saranac for the summer. cool to see it in twelve pack cans too, that should go over well.

Light Golden color. Nice Hop start right up front that is not astringent. The hops don't linger, and they are smooth into the middle where you can taste a light citrus and grapefruit. Excellent clean finish.
