Great clarity. Pale orange gold with three fingers of white head that fells to a ring in about four minutes.
Smell is doughy malts with some pumpkin pie spice most notable is cinnamon.
Taste is mild pie spice with bread crust malts and yeast. Some hops are probably there to hold down the sweetness. Hard to say really. No real bitter elements detected. The pumpkin flavor is there but light.
Mouthfeel is light to medium with average carbonation. Finish is minutely dry.
Overall a tasty mild mannered beer. Easy drinking and won't fill you up like some of this style. Think pumpkin light. I did enjoy it and it was the first beer that I have knowingly had from this brewer. From Trader Joe's in Salem, OR. It was a little quart jug for $4.99. I presume the jug could be reused for a half growler fill.

This was a good pumpkin beer, but like many others I've tried recently it didn't really knock it out of the park.

Aroma is of cinnamon and other pumpkin pie spices, but the malts overtone all of that.

The flavor is malty and cinnamon up front, with a few notes of cloves and biscuits in the middle/finish. Basically, the beer is sweet and tastes of caramel malts, with a hint of anything else I mentioned.

It's good, it just wasn't exceptional in my opinion.

Nice orange color with a lasting thin head. Aroma of pumpkin with a hint of pumpkin spice. The taste is similar. Nice Pumpkin taste hints of spice. Feels thin and not much carbonation. Overall a fine pumpkin beer just nothing about it stands out.

Nice copper color and a decent 30 second head that turns to a slight ring of lace at the surface.

Taste? Well as one reviewer noted, Matt/Saranac was never known to be up there in taste. Tame, non offensive easy drinking stuff, and this addition is more of the same. To its credit it isn't over laced with pumpkin pie spices like most of that style and does convey somewhat of a pumpkin flavor, but it's nothing to write home about.

I'd sum it up as a decent but lackluster, thin in body easy drinking session pumpkin. Nothing to complain about nor rave about.

2015 version, poured from a 32 oz bottle growler purchased at HT.

A - Clear, golden orange with brown overtones. 1/4 finger that moves quickly to a thin lace.

S - Pumpkin, nutmeg, cinnamon

T - Follows the nose, with an almost end swig burst of pumpkin and brown sugar.

M - Thin and a touch watery. Carbonation is medium low.

O - Definitely worth a try for pumpkin fans.
