Pours an interesting reddish brown into my Imperial Pint glass yielding a full inch of pillowy fluffy head. Aromas are light in the pants in the hops category but you really get a bit of sticky sweet malt coming through.
Sweet malty goodness hits the tongue and gets slowly dispersed by the gentle fizz of this moderately carbonated brew. A gentle hoppy presence rides in and then multiplies, completing the act with a slightly bitter and dry finish. Some mild runs of sticky sweet pine come and go. Not much citrus at all, which is quite refreshing.
Not to bad a brew for the price. Would love to see Saranac take a few more stabs at brews like this.

Was not overly impressed by this beer. Rather bland light amber coloring with an ok white head. Strong smell of hops will serve as a prelude to the strong taste of hops that follows. A piney, bitter aftertaste will linger for a while (as expected). Overall, nothing special to report.

Pours a copper body with a rich head with good retention. Aromas are very sweet and toffee like, with a grapefruit pungency and tropical notes telling you that this is indeed an Imperial IPA. The taste however, simply isn't "big" enough to meet my expectations of the genre. Despite having 85 IBUs, the caramel notes overwhelm the palette.

Light Amber with lasting white head. Smells bright and light, but has a much fuller mouthfeel than you'd think. Packed with flavor! Juicy sweet hoppy yet very balanced and somewhat malt forward for an IPA. Love this 8.5 ABV'er!
