12oz bottle into pint glass

Pours a hazy burnt orange color, maybe slightly darker than a normal Pale Wheat Ale. The head is thin and quickly fizzles to a thin cap.

Sharp wheat along with the normal citrusy aromas, plus a little bit of the pomegranate.

Clean wheat flavors along with a little bit of lingering grain. A slight amount of spice is in there. The pomegranate flavor doesn't show up much. I think overall it just adds to the color. Light bodied with plenty of carbonation. There is maybe a little bit of hops in there, but this style never produces much of that flavor.

This is an okay wheat beer, probably the most enjoyable on a hot summer day. It's slightly refreshing overall. Don't pick this one up thinking you're going to get a blast of pomegranate though. It's there in the flavor, but it's not the main flavor element in the beer.

Poured from 12 oz bottle into nonic pint glass.

A - Hazy, orangish color with a slight pink tint. Small head with short rentention, dissipates to nothing with no lacing.

S - Standard American wheat smell; sourish and earthy. Overtone of what I assume is pomegranate, but I couldn't otherwise tell. Smells like a tamed down Sam Adams Cherry Wheat.

T - Earthy and somewhat sour wheat taste with very little depth. Not offensive, but bland. The pomegranate is slightly present but really doesn't shine until the finish where it fades as quickly as it comes. At least this brew isn't sweet.

M - Light to medium bodied with fair carbonation. Probably could've been a little crisper but it works.

D - I couldn't have more than one of these. It's bland and unbalanced. I'm also not a fan of the earthy aspects of American wheat ales. The pomegranate is present at such small levels as to be annoying, because it really doesn't have any other flavors to bounce off of, and the fruit flavor itself isn't strong enough to hold it's own.

It sounds good, but all I can think is that it's a blander and less adventurous version of Sam Adams Cherry Wheat.

its to bad, this beer desurved more
its more a weak white than a strong beer with
its a watery white with some sweet in the background.
why not pimp this white and make the fruit more present in the taste.
use some different hops.
i like the effort and for the summer its a good beer.
