Purchased as part of a 12-beer variety pack (12oz cans) from Publix for $15.99. Poured into a standard pint glass.
L - Super hazy goldenrod, topped-off with a yeasty two-finger ivory head. No discernable lacing.
S - Pine resin, citron, tangerine peel.
T - Burnt pine wood, orange peel, mineral. Hinting at grass & sage. Balanced.
F - Medium-bodied, with mild carbonation. Watery. Easy-to-drink.
O - Decidingly average. This is exactly what I'd expect on Applebee's tap list for their token craft beer. Not too far in any direction, but it definitely hits the standards for tropical fruit notes, pine, and malt. I wouldn't get this one again, but this is a solid entry-level IPA.

this is the most traditional of the three clouded dream beers i had, the original i think, nice mix of hops, a little bit green, slightly maltier than the galaxy or the tropical, but still balanced and well proportioned. here the metallic thing i get in a lot of hoppy saranac beers is on display, but its not too big a distraction as the hops are rather bold, pineapple, pine, and fruity sativa to me, maybe a little key lime and bitter grapefruit, both aroma and flavor, pretty similar. some light malt sweetness through the middle, the same old saranac fermentation profile even though this is a hazy and something a little cleaner would be better, at least it finishes dry. there is some bitterness to the hops here too which i like, and its not one of those huge bodied milky thick hazy ones, its lighter than that by a considerable margin, so pretty sessionable if this hop profile does it for you. to me these three beers relate to each other well, you can tell they are rather similar in build, but each sort of highlights a different aspect. i wish all of them were slightly brighter and more minimal on the yeast side, but they are solid, an advancement for the saranac hoppy stuff, and all about equally enjoyable to me. good to have some new beers from these guys after some time away!

Pours a hazy light straw color with a finger of head. The nose has notes of tropical fruits and lemon. The flavor is grainy with a touch of juice. The mouthfeel is pillowy soft and the bitterness on the finish is quite mild.
