Had this on nitro-tap at the Champlain & Perrin location tonight.
Served in a standard pint glass.
Appearance: Deep, blackish brown body with shade of red near the bottom. A transluscent Irish dry stout? That ain't right. However, this beer does (somewhat) make up for things with a really impressive nitro-infused head. Eggshell-colored and super tight, this head holds it's initial height of ~1/2 inch throughout the entire thirty minute session. Great lacing to boot: creamy rings all the way down.
Smell: Roasted malt, and that's all folks! Bland.
Taste: Roasted malt with hints of black coffee. Kinda bitter. No complexity. Again, pretty bland.
Mouthfeel: Watery and flat, though still mildly creamy thanks to the nitrogen.
Drinkability: All in all, not terrible (still better than Guinness), however I probably won't order this again. If the selection were smaller, I may go for it, however there are too many better beers on Sequoa's menu.

Served cold in a pint glass at the brewery.
A: Served a super dark brown with red highlights under a half inch of dense nitro head that lasted forever and left great lacing.
S: Light notes of dark grains. Not much here.
T: Sweet flavor with light notes of coffee and roasted malt, caramel and a hint of toffee. Pretty light and straightforward.
M: Thin body with a watery mouthfeel. Very creamy nitro-carbonation rounded out the mouth. Almost no bitterness and no alcohol present.
D: Flavor is good and this is very easy to drink. Better than Guinness and overall not a bad beer, just not much to make it stand out.

A good looking beer, but what stout doesnt look good on nitro.
Roasted character but thats about it.
Lots of roasted character with a lingering bitterness. The finish is almost almost like biting a coffee bean in the bitterness.
A good body due to the nitro, but not extremely full, with a thin, almost watery body.
A good beer that I would be able to drink several of in a sitting.

I had the beer at the Sequoia Brewing Company with their beer batter fish n chips and it is an excellent pairing!
Taste - Served off a nitrous tap, the beer had a creamy texture with hints of coffee and a smoky finish.
It is an easy drinking Irish Stout that will not disappoint you...good flavor.
