From a sample glass at the brewery.

Aroma of dark malts: dark crystal and chocolate malts. Not much aroma detectable otherwise.

Copper color with nice highlights and good clarity. Off-white head with minimal retention but leaving decent lacing on the glass.

Flavor was very malty and a bit sweet with strong brown sugar notes. Some funky flavors in the background with notes of ethyl acetate (a solvent-like ester that smells and tasts like nail polish remover). Some spicy hop flavor also apparent in the background. Lingering dark malt flavor in the finish.

Fairly high carbonation with a nice carbonic bite. Slightly astringent finish. Not bad overall.
