Stopped in here for some lunch and a chance to try their home brew. Great location over the water on Whidbey Island, WA. The place is historic (check out their website for details). The bar itself has a history as it survived prohibition and a fire. There are some great bar decorations and hanging from the ceiling is a crew shell for rowing.

The menu gives it "Best Burger in Town", which proved to be true. On tap, the selection is good, with a mix of west coast brews and Guinness and Harp. Their home brew is Toby's Parrot Red Ale which was, unfortunately, not available that day. They also have Bridgeport IPA, Fat Tire Ale, Black Butte Porter, and Alaskan Amber. I opted for the Porter, which was excellent.

If you ever happen to be in Coupeville, be sure to stop in for a good beer and a relaxing good time.

Tobys is set right on Penn Cove in Coupeville, WA. Due to the fact there seems to always be festivals going on, this place is alive with surprises. It is a very small pub with a great atmosphere. There is lots of history, including a giant wooden bar that was made in 1905, that traveled all the way around the tip of South Africa. They feature Toby's Parrot Red Ale which is not brewed here, but is the only place you can get it. The locals make this place, once you spend some time here, you feel like family. All in all a great place to just go have lunch and a beer, or come in the evening for a few beers.
