The first thing that stands out about this beer is its appearance. It is a lovely crystal clear glowing shiny gold with big fat carbonation bubbles slowly making their way to the top. The head leaves something to be desired but it is a very pretty beer none the less. I get only faint sweet grain aromas.
This is a delicous and refreshing beer that blalnces a robust grain sweetness with restrained hop bitter carried by a slight grain astringency. Occasionally I get subtle fruit notes (strawberry?) but really its the grain that does the talking in this beer and thats a good thing.
Mouthfeel is rich and creamy but firmly carbonated. Special.

Clear light gold color with white cap and lacing.
Aroma of mild sweet malt and floral hops.
Taste is mild to mid malt with a spicy kick from the hops. Some elements of yeast bread and fresh hay with a dry, crisp finish.
Liight-mediuum texture with balancing carbonation.
Clean, pleasant take on a food and company friendly lager.

Rahr's Blonde has a thick, white head, a hazy, yellow-gold, bubbly appearance, and minimal lacing. Aroma is of sweet malt and faint, yeasty bread. Taste is of sweet, pale malt, sweet, white bread, and grassy hops. Mouthfeel is medium, and Rahr's Blonde finishes mostly dry and crisp.

Poured into a glass from a can.
A - Pours a clear straw, forming a very thin white head, with no lacing. Steady stream of carbonation through the drink.
S - The aroma of bready malt dominates the nose.
T - Taste is dominated by the malts, with a very doughy taste coating the palate. There is a slight metallic tinge in the finish, followed by just a hint of hop bitterness. The taste of the malts remains long after the finish, becoming a tad bit cloying.
M - Light mouthfeel with good carbonation.
O - Overall, a good light lager, but lacking a bit in complexity compared to the German varieties available.
