The color is a pale shade of amber with a tall, thick head. The aroma is of mild malt strength with a touch of caramel. The taste isn't as full-flavored as expected, this seems a little watery. The smooth malt body is enhanced by a caramel flavor mixed with a mild smokiness. A touch of herbal German hop flavor rounds this beer out. Drinkability is good, but, for flavor, there are better amber lager choices out there.

Pours a hazy/cloudy amber color without forming a head really. Smells sweet like caramel & roasted malts, biscuity. Taste follows the nose, malt forward, but decent amount of hop bitterness. Medium-bodied, high carbonation, crisp. This is an okay amber, nothing to special.

Served on tap in a pint glass
Appearance – The beer is served a brick red color with a one finger head of off white foam. The head fades slowly over time leaving a decent sum of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma of the brew is heaviest of a lightly toasted malt smell mixed with some aromas of caramel and hay. Along with these smells comes a little bit of hay and grain.
Taste – The taste begins with a caramel sweetness mixed with a little bit of a lightly toasted malt flavor. The tastes create the base taste of the brew and last throughout the taste. Along with these base flavors, other tastes of a light grain and hay develop as the taste moves onto the end. A touch more sweetness of molasses comes to the tongue at the end, leaving one with a sweet, and lightly toasted, but very easy drinking taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is on the slightly lighter side with a carbonation level that is average. For the caramel sweet and lightly roasted nature of the brew, as well as the modest abv. the feel is pretty decent and makes for an easy drinker.
Overall – A easy drinking and lightly roasted red ale with a low abv. more session like style. Overall a nice football watching red ale.

On tap a Four Points in Houston. I liked this better than most folks on this site. It's a balanced malt and hop. Smooth like you'd expect from an amber but not too sweet.

Nice clean lager. Not over powering. Not much aroma. Solid beer.

A disguised ESB amber colored white topped sipping beer. Reminded me of Red Hook. I drank it thinking “ if i had a really good hunch your back to eat cheese steak sandwich and a hockey game life would good for a bit”.

It's a nice red ale, but it is extremely bitter for a red ale. That might be your thing, but it's definitely not for me.
