Nice Amber color. Light off white head. Subtle smell with faint malt and hops. The malt sweetness comes through nicely. The hops isn't particularly flavorful, but it's actually slightly bitter for my taste. Not a bad beer; I could easily drink all night

Pours a dark red color with a white head. The aroma is mainly caramel malt. The flavor is caramel malt and toffee with some earthy hop flavor and bitterness. There is also some nuttyness in the flavor. Medium mouthfeel and slightly creamy with low carbonation.

Medium-high sweetness - cotton candy aroma. Fruity tartness - floral.

Rusty amber. Crazy filtered clarity. Medium head that quickly resides to nothing.

Light lager - floral hop flourishes and a pleasant fruitiness. Medium to medium-light bitterness. Light toasty grainy malt warmth.

Thin body. Mild carbonation. Toasty fizzy.

Easy to drink and refreshing. Red/Vienna Lager stylings. Similar to Rahr's Red, but I think it's different. Fun to try, I like the label.

Appearance: Pours a crystal clear amber color with a decent enough head that also leaves an adequate amount of lacing behind

Smell: Hints of caramel and grain but not much in the way of aromatics

Taste: Caramel candy, up front, with a bit of grainy husk keeping the sweetness in check
through the finish

Mouthfeel: Medium body with moderate carbonation

Overall: A pleasant enough sipper, particularly if you like a good caramel

Many thanks to mhewes for providing another example of the fine Texas craft brew scene...

Perfect copper color with carbonation slowly rising in sync. Thin head with rye bread color.

Wheat, rye, a little Germanic hop presence. Slight sweetness - a little clammy but enjoyable.

Quite earthy and grassy - a slight tinny aftertaste.

Mouthfeel is typical for style - slight pucker from hop presence and a little aftertaste.

Maybe drinks a little heavy for mild flavor profile but a good sessionable brew for its style.

Picked this up today at the Cityview Majestic.

I had this beer once back in the previous bottling days and it was mediocre at best. I had actually forgotten about it until I read the two other reviews, but it rings a bell now.

The beer is a nice clean amber with pretty much average/slightly above average everything. At $8.50 this is a little too pricey, but I like drinking local.
