On tap. Pours a dark brown color with a two finger, white head that leaves two inches of lacing and lingers. Nose of caramel, cinnamon, and roasted malt. Taste is caramel malt, coffee, cinnamon, and nutmeg that is more roast than sweet. Medium body and medium carbonation.
The winter spices are there without it becoming too sweet or over-spiced. Good balance that's drinkable and hides the ABV. The best beer currently produced by Rahr & Sons.

Great Winter Warmer/Holiday brew. Aromas are hard to miss and tastes like gingerbread, clove, spices, nutmeg, and Christmas. Slightly bitter to balance it all. Malts were spot on.

Poured into a nonic pint glass.

Look: The darkest shade of brown without being actual black under a thick khaki head that doesn’t recede much, leaving random dots and small lines of lacing.

Aroma: Spices like cinnamon and nutmeg, a touch of allspice immediately fill the nose over a base of roasted malts.

Taste: A toasted bread, roasty malt base allow for spices to run rampant. Cinnamon is huge, while hops finally come out in the finish with bitter, spicy wood notes.

Mouthfeel: Medium bodied, dry, tangy.

Overall: If you like cinnamon spices this beer is for you, the finish does leave a really tangy bitter aftertaste though.

App- This was just like a porter/winter warmer with a deep brown color. Good density in the glass. The thing that sets this off is the cling and lace on this one. Amazing stick and dish soap cling.

Smell- A traditional winter warmer like nose. A good amount of malt and spice. Especially with the mulling spices. Slightly bitter as well. A little roasty and nutty.

Taste- I thought it was a good play on a winter warmer. A bit more of a spiced version with the mulling. I got a lot of nutmeg and the star anise on this one. A bit more malt and cream due to the hand pull. Nice flavors. Little unbalanced.

Mouth- A good body on this one. Huge creaminess with a good solid carbonation. Residual anise and a touch of cinnamon on this one.

Drink- It was good. Not sure that mullin spices are for me though. Dont really like that flavor combination.
