Poured on tap into a tulip glass at Churchkey DC.

Creamy off tan 2 finger head presented, almost nitrous fine looking bubbles too. Deep copper rust body, looks opaque at first but is quite clear on further inspection, quite a solid looker.

Nice hints of cookie malt and a bit of a neutral ans subtle aroma. Very little farmhouse quality hinting more of the caramel and biscuit like sensing malt character. Digestive cookie smelling with a touch of sweetness which is nice, maybe a bit of floral quality just barely squeaking out.

Palate is a bit more full and impressive than the nose, but doesn't bring any surprises. Mild cherry fruit quality interestingly, with lots of graham and cookie biscuit quality in the mid palate. Soft bodied with a real supportive creamy mouthfeel to go with it. Slightly dense but also hints more towards simple amber qualities. Mild tartness bringing out some nice hinting fruit esters, but barely hinting any dryness or earthy quality to style.

It's a very good tasting brew, but still misses on some of the farmhouse character. Still very delicious drinking though.

Nice little Biere de mars. No earthiness to speak of , but a nice malt quality. This is a pretty decent example of the style but nothing special.

Tap at Brewer's Art. From notes.

A - Deep red colour and cloudy. One finger of off white head gone fast. No lace or retention.

S - Grape, dark fruit.

T - A bit tart, grape, dark fruit. No distinctive tartness as advertised.

M - Good carbonation, medium to full body, a bit of grape to finish.

O/D - Not bad but nothing too crazy. A bit of grape flavour but it wasn't too intense overall. Above average, but a bit underwhelming.
