Look: It pours brown with reddish hues. It has a brown head with good head retention.
Smell: It has a spicy and orange aroma to start with. There are low levels of figs, nutmeg, bread, and with a bit of perfume in the nose.
Taste: The spiciness is strongest in the flavor with cinnamon, nutmeg, and other spices with orange. There are some bread notes with figs, and dried fruits. There are some very low levels of cherries.
Feel: It has a medium body with a finish that is as bitter as it is spicy.
Overall, a nice combination of spices, alcohol, and dark fruits.

Look - poured into a 12 oz tulip glass from a can. Dark red/light brown in color, transparent, ~2 finger head that does not dissipate. Quite a beautiful pour.
Smell - peaty smoke, with caramelized sugars. pretty strong malt presences as well, but overall, smell is light.
Taste - strong malty backbone, fortified by sugars, spices (cloves, ginger), dried fruits. long finish, malt dominant but balanced by a bit of hoppy bitterness towards the end.
Feel - medium-full bodied beer, high carbonation, and fairly strong at 8% ABV. alcohol is well masked.
Overall - a strong, hearty brew from Brewer's Art for the holiday season. It's sweet, tasty, and puts you in a holiday mood - even when it's not the holidays.

A draught chalice at the Brewer's Art here in Baltimore. A solid if NOT particularly special Winter Warmer.

12 oz. bottle poured into a nonic style pint glass.
Topped by a half inch of dense tan foam the body is deep caramel and ruby brown depending on how I hold the glass. There is a light, somewhat generic aroma of spice and caramel malt. Taste is definitely heavy with fresh ginger. It is spicy and warming with a slight bitterness and leaves a small aftertaste of gritty spice.
Mouth feel is slightly chalky with a medium body and carbonation. Overall not something I need to try again but as advertised the ginger definitely comes through.
