Our tribute to the "devil" beers of Belgium. This beer is light in color with a full flavor and dry finish. Be careful, as it may sneak up on you. After receiving a cease-and-desist letter on behalf of musician Ozzy Osbourne, the Baltimore brewery has renamed its Ozzy beer Beazly. It is named after Mark Barcus, a bartender of the Mount Vernon bar for nearly 17 years. His nickname around the bar is Beazly. Both rich and dry, this beer is all too easy to consume in large quantities. Hopped with Styrian Goldings.

Pours bright yellow with a thin veneer of white head that leaves receding lace on the glass.
Aroma is cracked grain, pale malt and citrusy hops.
Flavor is a beautiful blend of pale malts, grains and citrus with a distinct tangy bitterness on the finish.
Mouthfeel starts light and citrusy that then moves to a grainy, wheat bread middle and finishes with a tangy, herbal and citrus finish.
Drinkability is very good. Smooth and lush on the palate with nice transitions between grain, pale malts and the citrusy hops.

Clear yellow, big, dense white head, excellent retention, amazing rings of lace
Pear, phenol spice, pilsner malt aroma
Pear, light banana, pepper and clove, sweet malt flavors
Light bodied and well carbonated
Really great Belgian Golden Strong, wish I liked the style more
