12 oz can, stamped best by 6/10/18

Clear, dark amber brownish color, thick off white head. Aroma is big - Belgian yeast esters of herbal earthy spice. Taste is malty, sweet, with similar flavors as aroma. Medium bodied fizzy carbonation.

12 oz. can poured into a rocks glass.

Dark amber and clear it is topped with one inch of fairly fine and consistent tan foam. The nose is moderate to high in strength and has plenty of aromas to sift through. Belgian yeast, fruity esters and caramel malt and hops. Taste is in line with the nose. Sweet, fruity and malty to start with a medium dry finish with some hop bitterness. Alcohol is well hidden. I think the body is a little thin for the style and it feels light and crisp.

Overall, a nice brew that is definitely worth trying.

Look - amber color, slightly cloudy. A solid two finger head.
Smell - fruity, hoppy, sugar, malts, and nuts. Really a myriad of scents that come through.
Taste - as complex as the smell. Tartness initially, followed by maltiness and finishes with a bit of hoppy bitterness. Although smells sweet, doesn't taste very sweet at all.
Feel - definitely a full-bodied beer with tons of flavor. carbonation is light but appropriate. alcohol content is definitely detectable.
Overall - I have to say, I am probably a bit biased about this beer since I have been drinking it for years, but this really is one of my all time favorites. An excellent representation of the style, and just downright tasty.

Draft pour to shaker, clear light copper, minimal head and retention. Nose carries lightly the Belgian style yeast notes and malt. Taste also light with a more bitter finish than expected. Medium light body and carbonation.

From a 12 oz can:

Pours a brilliantly clear amber color, with a nice slightly off-white head, creamy and long lasting.

Wonderful dark fruit aromas, some burnt sugar, and hints of sweetness. Has a richness of aroma that makes it seem bigger than it is.

Slightly sweet raisin type flavors, a bit of peppery yeast phenolic character, and has a drying, peppery finish. The smooth dry finish invites more drinking, and makes it quite easy to drink for its strength.

Medium body and carbonation, no astringency. Just a slight hint of warming.

Was surprised I had never rated this beer before. A nice Belgian beer from my state, somewhat sneaky with its strength, and sold at a great price (at least in my area).

This strange concoction pours reddish amber with a magnificent craggy head and early lace. Fresh, sweet malt and solid opposing noble hops balance nicely.

A lot more yeast and malt makes itself apparent in the actual favor. Serious roasted malt follows to the finish but is checked by more hops than would normally be expected in the style. All wrapped in a boozy, Belgian haze.

On tap into a pint glass. A beautiful clear, copper color with a generous off-white head. Nice lacing in the glass. Serious bubblegum on the nose with caramel, banana, and cherries. The taste followed the nose. I get the bubblegum and banana with less of the classic Belgian character. Dry finish and quite enjoyable.

Can dated "best by 11/16/17" into pint glass. Pours a nice deep reddish amber-gold, with a persistent light tan head. Initial impression is rich, sweet malt with a hint of hops bitterness. Some caramel notes. Mouthfeel is smooth, medium-bodied with enough carbonation to keep it refreshing. Alcohol is well hidden. Somewhat dry, slightly bitter finish. I'm not a big fan of Belgians but this was good.

Pours more like a red than a brown but the foam and lacing are top notch. Btw, best by May 5th 2017 clearly stamped on the bottom of the can. Kudos to that.

Belgian yeast, candi sugar, some caramel and nuttiness in the smell.

Belgian yeast, bits of roasted malt, some bittersweet notes, a wee bit of butterscotch to my palate. This is really tasty.

Silky smooth mouthfeel.

Another very nice beer from this brewery; I reckon they have fun brewing Belgian style ales. Keep it up!
