Our most popular beer! An unfiltered wheat beer with notes of citrus and fruit and a clean yeast character. Served with a lemon.

draught
Murky, medium amber look. Faintest of sweet spice aroma. Light bodied, with a little sharp taste of lemony malt.

On tap at the brewpub. This was poured into a 10 oz pint glass. The appearance was a hazy golden orange color with a slim bar pour’s kind of head that dissipated slightly allowing a nice looking clingy lacing running here and there. The smell had a decent light sweet wheat, balanced and adequate. The taste was mainly sweet with a light kick of wheat at the end to balance. Semi - citrus aftertaste lead to a sweet dry finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. Carbonation seemed appropriately styled as it was subdued enough to allow the wheat to be the substance running over my palate. Overall, I say this was a pretty good American Pale Wheat Ale that I would have again.

i think they won an award for this recently, good for them, its very true to style and quite well made, maybe the cleanest and most expressive beer i have had from these guys, but im not sure its the best example of the style on the market (beers like gumball head come to mind). pale and a little hazy with a lacy but short lived white head. some sediment to it, and a little drab looking even with the bubbles. the nose shows a surprising degree of citrus, lemon curd, its tangy but not tart or puckery at all. wheat malt base is light, textured though, not boring on the palate, earthy, and with just a trace of sugar left over. hops unite the elements well, straw and drying summer field essence in this one, even a touch of wild flower pollinated delicateness to it, quite pleasing and pushing distinct. clean finishing with a frothy gush on the palate as it swallow, a mark of a well made brew. i like this one a lot, its sessionable forever and doesnt exclude the hops like so many of these do. well done all around on this one. rightly one of their more popular beers.

A credible, but not outstanding wheat. No lemon in the sample, although apparently served with one by the pint. Clean and refreshing taste, nice straw color, some citrus hints, appropriate head. Better than the strawberry wheat (too sweet, overly strawberry flavored) and leas interesting than their "Youngdunkel", both also sampled on tap.

A: Pours a golden color. A small white head forms and leaves some lace.
S: Orange, lemon, and clove. Sweet pale malts and bread.
T: Fruity orange and lemon again. A light peppery spice. Not very complex, but enjoyable.
M/D: A medium body but a little over carbonated. Easy and smooth to drink. I can session this with no problem.

Enjoyable is the word. Another good beer from this brewpub. Just not my favorite of the style.

A: Had on tap at MBC. Pours a straw yellow color, one finger width white foamy head. Beer is cloudy but not as cloudy as home Hefeweizen's I've had.
S: Smell is sweet and yeasty. Slight banana smell
T: You can taste the wheat, good banana/fruity flavors as well. Finishes with an alcohol taste.
M: Light to moderate carbonation
D: Easy drinking very refreshing beer. Served with lemon at the brewery but very flavorfull without.
