Heritage Rosé Cider
Heritage Rosé Ciders are made with heritage apples, especially red-fleshed varieties like Niedzwetzkyana, Geneva Crab, and Redfield. The color spectrum for this category includes pale pink, rose gold, and even pale orange. Adjuncts are not used in Heritage Rosé Ciders, although flavor notes of berries or watermelon are often observed. Dry, off-dry, semisweet, or sweet, these ciders typically offer complex aromas and flavors as well as more astringency and bitterness than their modern counterparts.
