A lot of people up there today? Were you outside in line or inside ? Nice haul!

Regarding roads a mess leaving: what type of vehicle were you in?

I'll admit it, after seeing that picture, I almost penned an essay.

Roads were AWFUL coming home. We were the first ones in line today, got our Normas, got some Arthur, sampled SS#6 (AWESOME surprise!). SS#6 is phenomenal, we all loved it. Deceptive beer, drinks like the best pale ale you've ever had, but it's 8.1%. Absolutely loved it, may have a 750 of it tonight. Or an Arthur. Life is hard, the decisions we're forced to make.

We decided to go to Willey's store after leaving HF...then decided to drive from there to Parker Pie. GPS took us on a nice tour of roads ending with "Hill" ... and not as in "Shaun." My Camry had quite a fun time going up and down hills and past farms, etc. for 45 minutes or so to Parker Pie. I did well though, only almost crashed like twice. During the time we ate our pizza, another 4 inches or so piled atop the Camry. Not cool.

Good news is, we headed straight down 91 from there and after 20-30 miles the roads were fine.

I missed Norma last year, absolutely can't wait to try it. Now, I'm holding out hope that Norma lasts until a week from Saturday (which is the next time I can make it up there). I'd sure love to get a couple more. Also, perhaps for once it won't snow!!

Seriously though, Society and Solitude 6 is great. That whole series has been just amazing.

Another great trip to Hill Farmstead.

Sorry to quote this again, but that picture of the Normas is practically a complete Vermont tourism pamphlet. Great camera work!

[IMG]This was my haul minus a couple growlers. Smooth ride up, but damn that ride back sucked almost all the way home. First time up there an I plan on doing it again as soon as there is no chance of snow!

yeah but it wasn't even freezing. this is watery snow and it will be bad this weekend when it's freezing. some of the guys who are planning on being at Lawson's gig real early Saturday morning can warm up the black ice on 89 for the rest of us.

My plans are to drive up to the Alchemist first thing in the morning and then cut over to Hill Farmstead. Hopefully it won't be an awful 2.5 hour morning commute on 93 and 89.

No problems, but roads got wetter & crappier as the day went on. Lunch in Stowe and it was snowing HARD! Not so much back in Champlain Valley. Raining right now...

Looks like the site has been updated to limit of 1 per. It was definitely 2 earlier today...I'm guessing the number of people up there for Norma today...in the snow...has caused them to drop the limit so that it lasts a bit longer. Spread the wealth, not bad.

While I don't necessarily think it is a horrible idea it's slightly off putting coming from a guy who just got two.

Very true, not my intent, but you have a point.

I was shocked it was announced as 2/per to begin with. I'd bet most releases from here out will be 1/per...especially if it's a 750ml bottle release. Was up there the previous Saturday, with no special releases of any kind and Norma on the horizon, and it was still very busy. Just the nature of the beast I think.

Should have gone today, bro. There is no crying in beer releases. Oh, wait.
