Parabola release date announced

    I've posted this before, but this is just too good to not be shared again. Due to some sort of shipping error, this hit the largest Binny's in Chicago for craft beer (Castle Vav) on September 24, 2011:

    Have they even bottled this year's batch yet? I sort of doubt it.

    I wouldn't worry about this being last year's batch, or the batch from two years ago, as long as it wasn't stored in an unrefrigerated warehouse all of last summer. I've pulled out a bottle of 2012 and a bottle of 2011 in the past month, and both were pretty awesome.

    I had just returned from bringing back 4 bottles from Seattle at the same price. Needless to say, my feeling about how fortunate I was to bring them back across the country to enjoy was significantly tempered upon seeing this end cap less than 2 miles from my house.

    I hate to be that guy for whomever already has a hard time getting this.. but I am stoked that we will be getting Firestone beers in TX in less than two weeks. This doesn't mean Parabola, however - only their core lineup e.g. Union Jack, Double Jack, DBA, Porter, Velvet Merlin etc. But maybe, just maybe, Firestone Walker has some Parabola stashed away for a TX release. A lowly BA can only hope.
