Ah, Beer Geek Bruisers on Buses! I think TLC might be interested in this. I'm skeptical that actual bruising would go down, but so long as someone ends up getting married I think they'd be cool with it. And it's not like the Amish Mafia actually goes thugging around (or do they?).

also, the idea of a BA brewery tour is a really great idea i think we should try and coordinate!

You guys arrange and ECBC / Poor House visit on a bus - I'm in 100%. We'll open Midwest shelf turds while riding.

All this is why Stone requires tour operators, among other things:
    • "I agree that, when visiting multiple breweries, Stone Brewing Co. facilities are designated as an early stop on the itinerary."
    http://www.stonebrewing.com/tours/files/agreement.pdf

Of course, not all stops can be early stops....

I'm flattered by this, especially coming from you. With your 7-day momentum, I thought you'd be a clear frontrunner, but it takes a lot of class to stop and scoop a late entry onto your shoulders and help him stagger to the finish.

I only hope I can cleverly throw more of your words in your face to prove you're an incoherent embarrassment.

I've been at Alesmith and Societe and seen them deny the BroFest busses. I think Alesmith has rapidly been moving to the "don't bring your bus full of drunken shitheads here anymore" side compared to before.

When I arrive at a brewery shitty drunk I at least fall out of a real limo.

    I hate the damn things.

Basically because they usually are a bus full of drunken asses, and I don't want to have to deal with that in an already crowded tasting room.

I hate the bus people because they're usually having more fun than I am.

Other than that, I don't think it's that big of a deal. The buses usually don't stay all that long, the tasting room servers will usually serve me ahead of them if the lines get long and they usually make for good people-watching.

I did the Brew Hop tour when they did the Groupons. It was awesome. There were 5 of us, all of which liked beer, and we only hit up Lost Abbey. We got a tour, some tasters, and a limo drinking/music/singing/sleeping experience. We certainly weren't any more obnoxious at the LA tasting room than usual - and no one had to play DD for the day, so no guilt! I'd definitely do it again.

I'd thought these tours might be a good idea from a safety standpoint, but the cost is prohibitive. At roughly $100 a head, I'd be more inclined to pool some money among 6 or 8 people, then rent a large van or small RV for the day and pay a friend/DD to drive us around. Then we could go wherever we wanted and still get the convenience.

Wife ran into ____ today, while picking up bottles they said they are talking to a bunch of other breweries, and that they are going to start denying these party buses who showup without any notice - they said buses with more than like 10 people.

Breweries that want these busses banned should realize that customer is always right, AND it is a customer's right to get their beer however and whenever they want it. Everyone needs to boycott any brewery who bans these busses. Better yet, we should email the better business bureau that these places are discriminating against their customers and are just overall meanies.
