11 miles outside of Philadelphia doesn't count as rural in my book.

Davenport's a little bigger town than I was thinking, but I'll definitely check out Great River if I'm in the area.

Red Peak Brewing in Quishnam, WA. I'm not sure of the population but it's a tiny little reservation town. In fact, most people have trouble even finding it. Regardless, Henry makes amazing barrel aged sours and saisons. I cannot wait to go again.

Short's in Bellaire, MI (pop 1,086) is a favorite of mine. Population's similar, but there's lakes and skiing that bring people to the town.

I would have to say Carton Brewing in Atlantic Highlands New Jersey. If you live in New Jersey check this place out. They have a brew out now called Red Rye Returning which has a similar taste to Nugget Nectar but with more of a rye/spicy bite. DELISH!

Well here's a replacement: Tin Mill Brewery in Hermann Missouri. Pop 2400. The town is known for a wine festival but everytime I go I leave the wife to the wine and head straight to the Tin Mill to enjoy a growler or three with the guys.

Ardmore is still a small town though, 12,000 people. If we are going to go rural & small town then I'll go with Bullfrog Brewery in Williamsport, Pa.

I recently did a trade for a Selin's Groove growler that I really enjoyed. I'm not sure if it is a small town, but it was off of my radar
