I do think my opinion is the correct opinion. It's kinda how they work.

For me, a big one was trying Kate the Great. Was it good? sure, just incredibly underwhelming especially for what it takes to get/trade for.

Everyone's tastes are different. For me, it just was nothing special

I was gonna say Sucks, too. Just not so graphic-like.:grimacing: But the sentiment is the same.

yeah nugget nectar is best fresh and doesn't seem to age well. i've noticed a big difference between a one week old nn and a 2-3 week old nn. not that it's really every bad, but it's best fresh.

Dark Lord '11 - I know, I know, but it's entirely too sweet IMO
Two Hearted - This one just doesn't do it for me, and for some reason, gives me raging hangovers after only a few.
Fat Head's Head Hunter - Middle of the road, average IPA IMO. Much better IPA's out there.

Thank you. Not thinking Pliny is the greatest thing ever is like thinking the Beatles are just another band to a lot of people apparently. I really like all of the above, but they're not the be all end all.

    St. Arnold Pumpkinator

Rated World-Class by our BA community, and here in Texas people wait with bated breath every year for this stuff. I just found the spices too overwhelming on this one; seemed to sacrifice the drinkability.

Really? Dark Lord is fucking terrible. I have yet to meet someone face to face who says they objectively like this beer.

Rare - yeah, it was good. I just didn't think it was as good as Bramble (with a year on it), Vanilla, or 09 regular. Certainly not worth the stuff it takes to get by a long shot
Nelson - I fucking love Double Nelson and Duet, but Nelson just doesn't do anything for me. Prefer Tuatara even
CCB Cognac Sweet Stout - again, tasty, again, nothing to stand out from so many other very good BA stouts
A bunch of HF - I was not very impressed with Anna, Art, Arthur, Vera Mae, Everett, or Twilight. Wasn't blown away by Susan, either (for instance, I thought the Lawsons beers there were superior, like Kiwi or Paradise). I'll give Mary a pass since it was alongside very strong/strong-flavored beers
BA Hi-Fi Rye - nothing to stand out. Tasty, not awful in any way, but not great in any way
BA Batch 9000 - another pretty tasty beer, but was way over the top with no balance. Bourbon and sweet alcohol

Oh man, I thought I was the only person on earth that didn't like this one. All I hear about is the amazing citrus and hop flavors...and I got none of that. I get a little citrus hit in like the first sip...then it just seems to fall apart. A lot of alcohol and not much luster...very "meh". My buddy told me it was "about as good as Hopslam". I told him he's off the reservation.

Pretty much any beer that contained the word Dogfish Head on the label.

:grimacing: dear sweet lord almighty... I've never actually had my feelings hurt by something so mildly phrased but... PUMPKINATOR!

Then again, taste is unique and only relevant to the individual. Still.... Pumpkinator man? Wow.

Stone Self-Righteous. I just didn't get any of the hop IPA taste. It wasn't bad, just tasted more like a peppery strong ale. Didn't care for it.

$7.00 and change around here for bigfoot. I think that is pretty cheap. although I am not a big barleywine drinker. i did enjoy bigfoot though.

I'm going to say it (and probably get bashed) but here it goes...... Heady Topper. I had it on 2 separate occasions and it just didn't work for me. Tried it out of the can also but when poured into a glass I just found it not very appealing. I wanted to love it but couldn't. Let the lambasting begin!
