Had a sample from the barrel yesterday afternoon......probably one of the most rum-forward barrel-aged beers that I've ever had.Got me pretty stoked for bottles.

And we should be expecting a Berliner by the time summer comes around. YO!

I should be to the brewery around 2 if anyone wants to meet up. I'll be bringing treats, including a cool growler that has never made it to CT, as far as I know...

Wow, a berliner is very exciting news! A growler of that during the summer sounds perfect.

Supernaut is..well.. super! Cannot wait for some of the non-IPA brews to roll out...even though I love them. Coup Beans...awesome.

Just wondering... how do growler fills at the brewery hold up? I got a few filled on Friday and was wondering how long I can wait to drink them? (I know I should drink them now, but I just got back from EBF and my liver says 'NO!' )

I sat on a growler of IST for 2 weeks or so with no ill effects.

Growlers can last a few weeks. Once you open 24-48.

They don't normally purge the growler fills, so my experience has been screwtop growlers of IPA i try not to let sit more than a couple days. The stout holds up a bit longer, and I also seem to get a few extra days to enjoy with my swing top growlers.

I just bought one! In fact, I think I bought the first one, since they hadn't decided on the price yet... Nice little surprise when I popped in to get my Supernaut fill.
