I just kegged an Chinook/3787 IPA an boy is it tasty. But I am not getting the pine that I hoped.

So I am going to try a Chinook/Simcoe pale ale this weekend, so long as they have both hops at the lhbs. Yeast is grown and crashed so I just have to swing by the store and avoid the rain tomorrow.

    Whatcha brewin'?

Just ordered ingredients for my next 3 beers - Mild, Kolsch, Barleywine for Xmas time. Currently drinking a Roggenbier and a Pale Wheat Ale with Centennial and Riwaka hops - great combo!

No brewing. Lots of racking, kegging, bottling.... Barf.

Kegging 15 gal Bavarian Weizen and priming with sugar, 10 gallons IPA (Doing keg hop with Citra for one, Nelson and Rakau for other), 2.5 gallons of imperial milk stout with peanut butter (PB2), TCHO chocolate and cocoa nibs. Bottling 5 gallons barleywine (The good one), 7 gallons chai milk stout, 5 gallons black IPA and blending 2 kegs imperial red with rye to get a keg free of haze and hop matter (Might do a fourth dry hop as it needs moar hops to offset the rye spicyness). Adding bourbon soaked oak barrel cubes and extra lactose to an oaked vanilla milk stout that didn't have quite enough oak or body/sweetness. Waiting on a poll to close to determine what I do with 5 gallons of english barleywine (most likely age the majority and sour or add brett to a gallon or two).

Not brewing, but I'm about to go take a gravity reading of a hoppy pale ale (nelson, amarillo, and galaxy) and drop a half ounce each of Nelson and Amarillo (all out of galaxy :flushed:) into the fermenters. Will cold crash and keg early next week with a second small DH. White oak spiral in one of the kegs for a week is in the plan, too.

Every time I get ready to brew on an off day from work the forecast calls for snow. I have stairs in my brewing process and I'm just not that desperate yet. A German lager is coming soon.

Short answer... not me :grimacing: I drink about a beer or two a week. Long answer... IPA and Weizens presents for a close friend's wedding. With the rest of it, I'll keep all the bottles on hand of the cellarable stuff for comps and to drink over time but will invite lots of friends over to kill the hoppy stuff or bring kegs to a party or two.

Going with an all-wheat* honey hefeweizen with 3068 (a favorite) and possibly some big Glacier hopping at the end. Pear & banana, anyone?

*That is to say, no barley. Only wheat and honey as fermentables.

Nothing brewing. Planning on a gravity check of a cream ale that's been fermenting a couple of weeks, though I'll probably let it sit another week any how.

Considering ordering an AG Sierra Nevada Rye Ale clone from Austin Homebrew...
