Sorry to hear this. Expedition is one of my favorites. Sit on a few bottles for at least a year or so and revisit. Hopefully you'll be rewarded.

Not saying I don't like Abrasive. I like to get ambushed by hops, just wasn't feeling it tonight. I put it in the Ruination and Palate Wrecker category. When you want your mouth to go numb and everything else to pale in comparison. The Allie Laforce of beers.

So I had the Fleur, and then some Hofbrau Maibock to kind of reset things, and now-

    Good beer, no doubt: http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/2372/90912/?ba=fmccormi

I gotta say, folks—the aroma that Mosaic hops have, with those sticky, rich fruit tones, pairs well with richer malt bases like the American Amber / Red category.

Evening BA. After working on finishing my basement for a good part off the day, then shopping with my wife and son, I'm sitting back and enjoying my second one of these.

Might open a Hennepin next. Cheers all!

I take it this is good? A local shop has these, but at a steep price of $11 per small ass bottle.

Oh yeah, it's good. It's English-style, so keep that in mind. It has a very concentrated flavor, well-knit and restrained, but incredibly complex at the same time. Different things come at you at different times, and lots of contributions from the yeast (lots of dried fruit, and a big helping of spices.) . $11 does sound steep, though- I paid $7 for this one.

(ETA: I guess I was wrong to say I got nothing else:wink:)
