This release was much better than I think everyone expected, myself included. Great job VooDoo. The heaters were clutxh and the night/bottleshare much more enjoyable for everyone involved. It seemed that everything more more slowly than other releases I've been too but that could of had a lot to do with my lack of sleep. I never heard a single person complain about amything that happened with this release. Again great job and can't wait for the next one.

I had a blast at this event. The heated tent was clutch! Glad to have shared some awesome beers with so many of you. Cheers.

much much MUCH better than expected. I had my doubts, but it really went off wihtout a hitch. As others have said above, the heated tent stole the show...would have been downright miserable without that. Think I somehow managed to actually get a solid 4 hrs sitting in a folding chair. The orders in the morning were going slowly, but honestly, I was just happy to be inside at that point so wasn't worried. Botte share: awesome. BAs I met: awesome. Voodoo: awesome.

Interesting good? Or interesting bad? Never been a fan of the base beer.

Interesting good, I would say. The apple brandy dominates a bit, and it doesn't (to me) taste a whole lot like the base beer. Just very unique, though. Nothing really like the bourbon tripels I've had.

I love the fact you can fit a whole bomber in a glass. It's like saying we want you to get shitfaced. Taking the bottle to the face!

I had to break in my snifter today as well, but I didn't open a bottle yet. Want to wait until I have a friend or three on hand.

We had a fantastic time at the Release; looking forward to the next Voodoo event already!

After a long drive home racing a blizzard, Scotty and I had to open something-

Just what you two needed, the bottle share didn't make you want to sober up a few days lol?! Great sharing with you two into the wee hours of the morning. Cheers

Likewise! I'm glad to able to put a name to the face and to see that you survived haha

And, apparently not, considering we just opened this as well-

Tastier than the last. Once you try one Buffalo Trace, you may as well try them all, right?

Completely unrelated to beer but did anyone else notice that the Voodoo Staff is one of the best looking of any craft brewpub they've ever seen (men AND women)? The fact that the place is in Meadville, middle of nowhere PA makes this even more surprising.

College town, most are probably students of Allegheny College. But I do agree.

I was in love with the place from the moment I stepped through the door. When your required dress attire is a beard and flannel it brings a tear to my eye.

I have been delaying posting in this thread in the hopes that I could recall the names of all the awesome people I ran across this weekend. It was fantastic to be able to put some faces to names of some whom i have talked to and traded with for years and finally got to meet in person. More importantly, I met a bunch of great like-minded people.

Going in to this event, it was my intention to hang it up and no longer attend releases like this. But the way Voodoo took care of us and how everyone treated each other (for the most part) turned this into a great time that I would love to participate in again.

I would like to personally thank Voodoo for putting on a great, fan friendly, release. My sentiment is similar to many of the BAs that have already posted.

I had a wonderful time drinking Voodoo's excellent beers. I had an even better time hanging out and sharing bottles with like minded people. It was a release filled with generosity and respect from start to finish. The staff at Voodoo was wonderful throughout the event, and I think that it really needs to be pointed out. Everyone was kind, courteous, and extremely helpful.

So... Thank you. Sincerely. You guys and girls were great. Here's looking to the next one. Cheers!

    - T

P.S. - It was a pleasure to run the Rock Paper Scissors LIF. Hope everyone had fun with it, and congrats to Shilt for winning.
