Supposedly they're bringing that one back. They've just decided to rotate their seasonals to every other year. Hopefully this time they'll (wisely) mention that it's a light beer and can it.

:grimacing: Whaaaaaat? That just made my day. I <3 that beer so much.

[edit:] I meant to say Old Crustacean 2008 in my OP, not 2006. I don't know if they even made a batch '06.

Guess that's why we got Dig instead of Mighty Arrow or Springboard this spring? I would be all over canned Skinny Dip. Here's to hoping...

Deschutes originally brewed a Red Chair IPA that was fantastic- We had a keg of it (3rd keg in the Keginator I got for Fathers day). That beer was so good, my wife couldn't stay away from it and I was drinking multiple glasses every night.......
Wife ended up in AA, sold the Keginator, and Deschutes changed the recipe and Red Chair became a Northwest Pale ale (NWPA).
I also miss New Belgium Frambozen- one of the best beers I ever had 10 years ago- bought a 6-pack 3 years ago and my taste for beer changed so much that I thought the beer was terrible.

I moved from OH to NC this past summer. Now dont get me wrong, the beer and community down here are second to none, but the beer from OH is amazing. I miss the people I knew before I moved. Also, being able to buy the seasonals from Great Lakes is something I miss more than anything. I used to buy Lake Erie Monster, Holy Moses, Oktoberfest, Christmas Ale, Conways, and Wright Pils all the time. Now theyre like gold down here. I hate the hell out of it.

Also, I miss Columbus Brewing Co. Their IPA was my first IPA, and holds that special place in my heart. God I love that beer as well. I used to miss year round Great Lakes, but the NC rep brought that to the Triangle.
