The funny thing about red racer is that it is 18$/6pk here.. in Canada.. so more expensive than RI. liquor taxes suck. I remember seeing a 12 pack of moosehead lager for 9.99 in vegas, when it costs 22$ across the street from the brewery in NB..

Alcohol tax in Canada is ridiculous. But it helps make sure when we get blackout drunk and hurt ourselves our hospital bill is Zero. Insurance I guess, haha

Wow. I have never seen them that cheap. $5.50ish up here. I'll tag on to everyone who said Torpedo. I've never had a better beer in that price range.

Definitely Smuttynose Baltic Porter and SNPA. Sometimes I'll find Rogue Shakespeare Stout for pretty cheap (6-7 for a bomber) and I'll jump on it, too.

For my money, $2.75 pints of Jack's Abby Hoponius Union are hard to beat. Also, as previously mentioned, Weihenstephaner Hefeweisen and Vitus at $3/pint and Old Rasputin at $2.50/12 oz are top-notch offerings in their respective styles.
