Not a huge fan of Magic Hat, but a great dub for the Fly guys tonight!

Drinking that can of On the Wings of Armageddon now, and I daresay I might have earned it tonight . . . I was starting to fall asleep grading these papers, so I powered through one more and decided I'd open this to sip while I grade quizzes and exercises. Much easier work. Should be a nice, relaxing way to close out the evening.

I have so much grading to do... I just keep looking at it and saying I'll do it tomorrow. You're a better man than I.

Having my favorite bourbon barrel aged stout to date, a Mother Earth Brewing Silent Night, wow.

It's easier to feel like it needs to get done when you know that what really needs to get done is your dissertation proposal. Whether you interpret that as procrastination or an earnest assessment, either way it's still true.

Actually updated my review, as per a few notes I felt were lacking in the original: http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/25327/78517/?ba=fmccormi

I know that feeling as well. The path of least resistance. When I was doing graduate school for pure math + teaching high school + teaching college I was working every minute I was awake and procrastination meant doing the easiest work. Do not miss those days. Which school are you at?

Just picked up a 1/6bbl of Nugget Nectar yesterday, so I imagine I'll be busy with that for a while. Hopefully tomorrow I'll be KBS hunting.

Syracuse. Wish I could say that I was so productive and dedicated. (Lots of reasons and legitimate excuses as to why not, but that's better left for another mode of discussion.) But yeah, I still work pretty hard, and I swear teachers of any variety do not get enough credit. I take it you're a high school math teacher?

I am and adjunct locally. Spent 11 years in college for a variety of things. Once I had finished my bachelors in Mathematics I started teaching high school. Did my masters in pure math and debated moving forward. Applied to SU and got into their phd program, but chose the stable job over another 5-6 years of work. Not sure which would have been the better choice
