I would like to get my hands on some FFF. How easy is it for folks in this area to get Drie Fonteinen Oude Geuze (regular, golden blend)? I was thinking of trading 3F for FFF, but wasn't sure how prevalent they are that area. Thanks.

golden blend sits on shelves primarily due to price. i saw some at beer temple and capones in chicago recently, more than likely it's still there.

the regular gueuze doesn't cantillon-level fly off shelves, but when it shows up it usually isn't there for super long. i think it's actually *better* than cantillon's, but ymmv. i haven't seen it on a shelf in the past few days.

also, since you're in california, i think RR sours, pliny, or non-distroed bruery stuff would probably be your best bet for scaring up people for FFF trades. with those you should have no trouble landing more common fff beers, including the non-BA brewery only stuff like toxic revolution, etc.

Actually, I think you want to trade some FFF for 3F, no? (3F = Drie Fonteinen, FFF = Three Floyds)

Yeah, that's the route I'm probably going to take. I was hoping to avoid chasing the RR and Alpine deliveries along with our bottle limits down here. We can only get one or two bottles at a time. It's much easier for me to obtain 3F bottles than RR or Alpine.

No, my statement is correct. I can obtain 3F bottles easily, and wanted to use them to trade for all currently available shelf FFF.

3F was available in Chicago when I was there.

FFF stuff is pretty easy to trade for without going to 3F levels. Locals $4$ can usually getting it done assuming you aren't looking for BA FFF beers.
