The only thing you would see is a stack of about 100 oak barrels.

That would be fine by me. Saison is one of my favorite styles and I like to support breweries that I have a personally connection to such as taking a tour and meeting with the brewers.

What do you mean they didn't like the idea?

Not sure I'm the correct person to do that.

The first hostess I talked to adamantly denied that Praire Artisan Ales even brewed at the Choc facility and then when I finally convinced another waitress that I knew what I was talking about she advised me that they only could help me out with questions on Choc beer. They couldn't even point me to someone who could help me out. It as obvious that they were offended when I kept asking Praire Ale questions and nothing about Choc. No offense to Choc cause I love some of their stuff.

The issue is that Pete's Place and the brewery are two different things. I'm there 2-3 days a week to work on things, but it is Choc's brewery so there isn't too much of a reason for the servers to be read up on what I'm doing. It's a small part of what's going on there. That being said, the guys in the brewery would be happy to show you around if things aren't crazy. Tho they are very respectful of what I'm doing there, so don't expect them to say too much on Prairie as they wouldnt want to give my "secrets" away...

Finally opened my Coop Territorial Reserve Imperial Stout (bottle #200) last night with a friend here in Ponca. We thought it was stellar!

So a conversion of your Praire Artisan Ale into a 5 gallon batch with temperatures and what yeast you use would be a bit too much for you to give out ?

Oh those T-...uh-hem...always thinking they own the insterstates and complaining when they don't get what they...aah screw it.

Anyone heard of Free State trying to set up distribution in Oklahoma? I've heard rumors, but not from what I think of as reliable sources.

    Soooo.....

Does anyone know when Marshall will be releasing Arrowhead this year? It is my favorite of theirs other than the Pub Ale.

I haven't heard, but it seems like it's usually late May-June. I like Arrowhead too, but I'm not ready to be done with Revival Red yet

Ready for Arrowhead as soon as this weather is over.

Okie was really great out of the bottle. Bought two more a day after I had It.

Pirate Noir drops tomorrow or thursday in OKC, so stoked.

    Also,
What's the next jolly pumpkin release?

Kinda late to the game, but I was surprised to see Goose Island IPA and Honkers at my local. I "get" the whole Inbev thang, but still was pleasantly surprised to see this stuff. Trying the Honkers, haven't done the IPA yet. This HAS to be a positive, in my book.

Very Positive. Honkers is aight, but Goose Island IPA is where it's at
for an affordable session IPA. & Everyone mildly knowledgable in beer knows
what is or has at least heard of it, so it's great for parties.

Just copped two bottles of Pirate Noir earlier today.
    Also two more Okie's.

Almost grabbed a bottle of "Thunder Beer" today, believe it's a wheat by Hueberts (?). Any of y'all tried it? It was 9 bucks.

Agreed, that GI IPA is solid. Some of their other ales are tasty as well, plus their Belgian styled stuff (if we ever get em )
Tread cautiously on any $9 beer by those guys.
