Ive been trading beer on here recently and consider myself a level 6 (out of 10) beer nerd, however, I still do not understand many of the abbreviations used in the ISO/FT forum. Many are not distributed in my area and I havent had exposure to them. If you are a level 9+, could you please enlighten me to whatever common abbreviations you see in that forum?

Nobody EVER means Black Chocolate Stout when they put BCS in their thread title. It's always Bourbon County Brand Stout.

This x 10000. I have been trying hard not to use them. It is impossible to know them all, and they save no measurable time.

Doesn't make it right. I agree that Black Chocolate Stout isn't nearly as popular around here as it used to be, but it's still held the BCS acronym for a very long time, and BCBS has referred to Bourbon County since forever. You can't just change a long-standing acronym because people start using it incorrectly.

Haha even moreso than the initials changing, Black Chocolate Stout used to trade widely when it had less distro. Now why bother to care, either way you see it, it's Bourbon County Brand Stout.
