I don't want to be too asinine, but perhaps you should consider yourselves fortunate to have gotten tickets to the party? And further, you will be on right on the grounds (or staying in a nearby hotel), so the only people to blame for not being at the front of any line would be yourselves.

oh man! The one week I am out of the state of Vermont :slight_frown: Guess I'll have to cut my trip[ short, or find some benevolent local friend to help me out. Either way, def worth it for the beer

All due respect, would you rather have 400 people lined up at 3 AM who were camping on site, or would you rather this group be separate from those not attending the party? From a logistics standpoint, allocating a share to each group seems to be one way to make sure things flow as smoothly as possible, no?

You're not in for an all-night-through-morning-til-2pm line bottle share?

If I plan to have a girlfriend at the conclusion of our trip from Chicago to Vermont, this particular activity is not in my best interest, but kudos to those planning on engaging in such activities (responsibly, of course).

Anyone lucky enough to have gotten tickets for the 3rd anniversary party should not be allowed to purchase beer on the 27th!

That would require them knowing where the line forms... We could do the release the following weekend, instead, and piss off 400+ people that had just traveled many hundreds of miles...
It will all be fine. Someone will be mad about it. Someone will be happy about it...

Just to clarify, will Sunday, the day after the festival, go something like this...

10am-12pm - growler fills for those that attended the festival (or is this open to everyone coming on Sunday?)
    12pm-1pm(ish) - break for set-up/lunch/whatever
after 1pm - bottle release sales

I might need to pack breakfast AND lunch that day!

    NOOOOOOO!!!!!

I already have a ticket to Boston Calling this day. This is going to require either a last minute decision or razor sharp timing and way too much driving for one day.

    Great question.

Wrist Bands only for Growler Fills in the morning. Small limit on # of growlers, too. To be determined.

Realized that the volume of Being and Time is too low for a release day like this. It will have to see the shelf of the shop a few weeks later, instead... Need to release something with a larger bottle count.

Being and Time....fantastic name and even better book.

I guess Double Barrel Damon is thrown out for this release as well, since the volume is probably similar..

So where does a Sunday afternoon bottle release on a 3 day weekend the day after an on site festival fit into the solutions of smaller lines like the good old days?

it's never going back and it appears he's trying different options to make people happy... but as you've proven, they can't may everything ideal for everyone... some people are never happy

personally, a release for the people who came up for the anniversary seems like a cool thing to do

Love this, it's becoming a weekend long celebration of HF, northern Vermont and all that is right with the world. Sad to see Being and Time (Heidigger!) pushed back, but I have a feeling if some Imperial Stout is there in its place, people will be OK. Absolutely can't wait to try the Flanders Red.

Nostalgia. If you have a solution for smaller lines and somehow returning to the past, we are attentive. We have tried nearly every solution possible. From mid-week releases (Norma) to Silent releases... to bottle releases... to growler limits... Should I hire you to run and plan our bottle sales? =)
