There will also be several homebrew clubs pouring at the beer fest...

I'll be there pouring for Resistance Brewing. Looking forward to the event and trying everyones beers.

I just went to Cannonball Creek yesterday. Open for about 3 months and their beers are good. I recommend it if you are in the area.

FYI - Just found out that Atom Brewing had to withdraw from South Denver Beer Fest. They're not making enough beer right now to meet the minimum requirement of the festival. Sucks, because it's awesome, but at least Jeff gets to get back to focusing on producing a lot more beer for the peoples.

Is South Denver Beer Fest paying for these beers? Does Atom have a liquor license?

Here's another one that should be opening within a month or so, essentially downtown Golden (between clear creek and hwy 58).

Don't know on either account actually.

Just a heads up as our club was notified that, due to feedback from the liquor enforcement folks, the homebrew portion has been cancelled.

Apparently all of the "breweries in planning" might not be able to be there either. Still, it seems like a pretty cool fest either way. Wish I was in town for it.

At this point, I think about 9 of the new breweries have had to pull out even after getting all of their beer/ swag ready. Those flip flopping liquor enforcement people sigh..

Well, it's kind of their fault for putting all that into an event that was operating in a "gray area."

Yup, I still think it will be a good festival.

I won't be able to serve my beers anymore, which is a huge bummer. Sucks to go through the process of making a ton of beer, buying schwag and getting all sorts of things in order to be told "sorry" just a few days before the event. I'm not upset at the SDBF people, just more upset at the state for changing their mind after giving the ok on all of this.

It'll be cool to have a second location for Caution. They're tucked away into a pretty odd corner (luckily close to me) and I think another tasting room closer to town will serve them well.
My guess is that they'll be on the west side...at least based upon where the Lao Wang Noodle House and their neck of the woods are.

Walked by Mountain Toad last night. They look pert-near close to being finished installing, furnishing, etc. Equipment is in, chairs, tables....just some cleaning, finishing touches.
