Hell, when I'm not sickly like I have been for the past two weeks, I spend 12 hours a week working out and drink 10 beers tops. But I'm on the Dr. Cox plan of always hate your body.

I don't run at all cause its boring as hell! Ill stick with a real sport and drink beers...ice hockey! Nothing like crushing a few cold headys inbetween periods to liven up the game.

Reminds me of the 'fun-runs' my rugby team did in college. Unfortunately, it wasn't just shitty beer... I still occasionally have night mares about MD 20/20.

I average about 60 miles and 20 quality beers a week. Running has its perks

OUCH! 37, is that old? :grinning: I forgot according to youth and the media anything over 25 is dead!

Rest? What's that? LOL. Father of 2 and have a 70b golden retriever that doesn't believe in sleeping past 6:30.

I am assuming you are being extremely hyberbolic, but if not, I call bullshit. Assuming each practice was only 1hour (most practices are more than that), and you drank one beer every 20 minutes (33 per day, 3 per hour for 11 hours), you are left with 10 hours to fill with sleep, commuting (say 15 minutes each way for a total of 1.5 hours), etc. Plus, no coach is going to allow anyone to participate in swimming while being completely drunk. I was no math major, but I am pretty sure that is impossible.

My roommate drank 46 Miller High Lifes from 6 a.m. to midnight at a campus drinking party. A feat of college binge drinking that doesn't seem possible, but as God as my witness did happen. We were both football players, so we were lifting at least 4 days a week and doing some form of cardio 6 days a week.

I'm usually around 15 miles a week and 14 beers.

As long as I stay at or better than 1:1 I think I'll stay semi fit.

That's nuts. Feel awful if I work out after a night of drinking.

It seems like endurance sports and beer always correlate. I took up mountain biking this year myself. But I have long been a fitness junkie since losing 100 in 2008. I do a 5/3/1 strength program right now.

I few years back we went to Myrtle Beach for a golfing trip and my friend got challenged to drink 160 beers on the trip and he put down 162. It was the most impressive drinking I've ever seen. Every day he played better on the back 9 than the front too.
