Anyone around want to grab a beer Friday night? Anything exciting going on?
I'll be staying downtown at the renaissance hotel.

    Cheers

The following day you should head out to Black Raven for their Flock Party. I would...if it weren't my wife's birthday as well.

Edit: Yes, sorry, that's not Friday night.

Nice dude, are you veg/vegan? Seattle doesn't even come close IMO to what PDX offers for vegetarian & vegan food options, but Plum is a nice spot. There's a place on the Hill called "Highline" that might be worth your time if you are roaming Capitol Hill. 25+ taps, all vegan, cocktails, and some pretty solid sandwiches.

In the Bowl Bistro is another great all veg food spot in Capitol Hill... probably best thai food in the city. It seats like 6 people total though, so get take out be sure to order some 'Melting Culture'.

I would love to see some breweries or beer bars jump on board with some vegan/vegetarian beer dinners and special pairing events. It pains me to see countless special beer dinners based solely around meat....

BM me if you are looking for other spots in the city with good beer and vegetarian friendly items!

    Thank you!

Yes, my wife and are veg/vegan and plum is amazing!!!
We loved it when we visited before, so good! I'm just going up for the day to visit my grandfather while he's in Seattle, so gonna grab a couple of beers that night then hit plum for brunch.
Highline sounds good, I really liked stumbling monk when I was there too.

    Cheers
    Don

Ps I know intuition ale works in jacksonville, fl has had a couple of vegan beer dinners.

Have you been to Sutra? It's close to Bottleworks and really good.

I have not. I'll really only have time to maybe grab a couple beers at night at a bar or two, preferably near where I'm staying, or easily reachable w public transit, and hit plum on Saturday.

I second In the Bowl - really great veggie thai. Plus, it's just a block or two from Stumbling Monk, which is bring your own food. Seating problem solved.

Locol 360 is downtown, maybe more Belltown, but they usually have some nice vegetarian dinner options. All the ingredients are sourced within 360 miles of Seattle.

Although not my favorite thai in Seattle, Wild Ginger downtown has a separate vegan menu and is a pretty cool spot connected to the Triple Door.

Tom Douglas spots might be worth investigating- Lola, Serious Pie, Palace Kitchen, & even Brave Horse if you want to check out South Lake Union. The menus will be meat centric, but there will at least be a couple vegetarian options and the food will be good.
