Hopefully not 2011, most/all of the bottles I opened where completely flat. 2009 OT would be amazing but I wouldn't get my hopes up.

My bet is on 2012 OT

so for the clue for tomorrow it definitely looks like rye but idk if its chocosauraus rye, sour in rye, rye smoking wood or rye papier

I'm hedging with vintage sour in the rye, but wouldnt be surprised at rye smoking wood, especially with the bourbon up for Society sale. Chocoaurus Rye had an enjoy within six months, and between first and second releases faded rather noticably. Basically went from tasting like chocolate fudge to chocolate marshmallows. Can't imagine it could in any way be drinkable at this point. Rye Papier simply because bottles of that seem better suited to build "value" in various anniversary events down the line.

It will probably be 2012 SitR...RS only got 1 bottle of the first release (2011 unless I'm losing my mind?), so I doubt they'd haul 15 - 20 cases of it out of the cellar.

you are correct, 2011 sitr was 1 bottle to each rs as part of the initial package.

It was the 2010 version (1 btl limit), if you're referring to last year's 12 Days sale at Provisions.

SitR wasn't bottled in 2010, first bottle release was 2011.

On the first day of Christmas, The Bruery brings to you.... 2012 Black Tuesday ($30 1btl limit) and 2010 Sour in the Rye ($25 1 btl limit)!!! That's right folks, the 12 Days of Christmas begins today at The Bruery Provisions. Every day through December 24th, we'll be releasing limited stupplies of some of our favorite archived beers. We open at 11:00am today. Check back here every morning for the announcement of the day!

Dug this up from last year.

Interesting, this is probably a difference of semantics - the first release of SitR was in January of 2011, each 2011 RS member received 1 bottle. It's possible that The Bruery refers to that as 2010 SitR since it was likely bottled in late 2010, but the bottles were released in 2011, so most people, if not all, refer to it as the 2011 batch.

    2010 just sounds more vintage-y.

Well then, it is the 2011. Though I mean, it's not like you'll know given that they didn't label any date indication besides BT's different label designs for those older bottles.

yeah for sure on the label's .....when they repeat a beer they need to year the label...Melange 3 sooooo frustrating....looks like Chocolate Rain 2013 says the year on it

We're transitioning to this as we re-brew beers. Off the top of my head I know that Chocolate Rain and Sans Pagaie have the year on the label. PLUS, we're dating bottles with our laser coder now, so this won't be an issue for future beers

I think the older bottles cap is more orange than the 2012 which is more yellow and the new batch which is just a plain cap.
