    If fresh, well worth it.

7.99 for a bomber of Victory at Sea is an awesome deal. On tap, amazing beer. Really enjoyed BA Sea monster too.

And I was pleasantly surprised to see 6 packs along with bombers of Sculpin. Tap was delish of course.

Cheaper than Hopslam, which I wasn't a fan of this year....

I know that it's a fantastic beer, this just seems steep compared to other IPAs of a similar quality (Sucks, Zombie Dust, etc.)

Yes, it is true that it is cheaper than Hopslam, but Hopslam is also a DIPA 10% ABV, seasonal release. Year-round IPAs, no matter how good, just don't hit this pricing echelon.

I'm bummed. I wanted to make it a staple in my fridge this summer. But come on, when Zombie Dust is considered a cheaper alternative, there's an issue (IMHO).

Then again, this is all pretty hypoctical of me, considering I jump at $11 bombers of Pipeworks IPAs (though I know their pricing and format is more out of necessity than anything).

I'm interested to hear more about the bottling date. I've never had it before tonight, but it was really tasty and I would definitely buy it again.

I agree, very pricey, but it is delicious. I guess it is a good problem for us to have with all the good IPA alternatives. And yes, I bought a 6 pack of ZD over Sculpin tonight because it was the last one there. I am sure a six pack will make it into my fridge in the next few days....

I know, right? $5/bomber is a sweet deal!

I say all this, but let's be honest, it will be all up in my fridge this summer. Just was not expecting that pricepoint.

Point made, but it's still a bit flawed considering that most pricing structures follow that as volume increases, price per unit decreases.

Would you sneeze at $26 for a six pack of Rev Galaxy-Hero? Because at current price per ounce that's what it would cost. 21 cents per ounce for Sculpin is not a beer bargain by any means but when compared to bomber prices these days, it it could be perceived as a fair price (assuming it is a good beer. I've not had it yet so I cannot comment).

I do not think that price per oz comparisons can be made across the board, regardless of format. Price per oz should decrease as the total volume increases. This holds true for just about any commodity I can think of.

And the "bomber anomaly" has been brought up so many times here. We all know it's a bit crazy, and we all know that some breweries have to use this format out of necessity. There are so many weird factors going into bomber pricing that I think it's hard to compare to 6-packs.

Would I pay $15 for Two Hearted, or Sucks, or ZD (APA, I know), or so many of the other fantastic IPAs we can get around here? Probably not. Having had it a third time today, I probably won't pay that much for Sculpin again. Good stuff, but not that good.

That has to be wrong. Pretty sure it's closer to $11

Edit: never mind $15 at BevMo in SD.

    I got mine at Niles Binny's, $14.95.

I had been waiting for it to be released here for so long, then when I saw the price on the couple Binny's tweets, I decided I'll pick it up at my convenience over the weekend.
