Stone Espresso IRS

It is not at the Fountain Valley Costco either. Not that I am looking for it since I already bought a grip from Stone, but in case anyone is scouting around. HB Total Wine had tons of it on Saturday.

 

14 cases at State line in Elkton. With club discount, just a shade over 6.00 a bottle.

 

Beer guy owed me for stuff I gave him, in the end got his cost minus the other stuff, 33.50 out the door for a case.

 

In case people weren't aware, letspour has Stone Espress IRS for sale. Limit of 4. $11 each

 

I also was not a huge fan of it. Coffee Abduction, and Big Hugs both beat it in my opinion (I did a three way).

BUT, if anyone really wants some, I can get some. let me know.

ALSO, if anyone can confirm that age does amazing things to it, let me know, I might retract the line above with a ninja edit.

Had my first last night. Fantastic. Highly recommend.

 

Had it on tap last night for the first time. Enjoyed it although I would have liked more coffee presence. Hope to see some bottles in our neck of the woods soon.

 

Any word on bottles in Rochester Bob? Picked some up in NYC but it'd be nice to get some more here.

 

So is NC the only place this hasn't been distributed yet? Seems odd.

 

I spoke to a person in Syracuse who hopes to see it in a week or two (she checked into it for me) - not sure about Rochester - no one seems certain of the answer at this point. But it's on tap right now at the Tap & Mallet. Cheers!

I like the Stone IRS but I'm not really big on anise-heavy stouts, and it definitely is. That's why I'm super stoked on this Espresso version, I think it might put it over the line into "favorite stouts". My manager ordered a case and he's just gonna keep it in the back for employees since there are so many of us into craft beer. There are one or two customers who deserve one too. But our store doesn't have the right clientele for something sweet like this. Most of them love Shiner and Full Sail..

 

picked up two more bombers, which is unusual for me. Liked this one a lot.

 

For those in NYC. Malt and Mold still has some left and WF Chelsea had 1 on the shelf earlier today around 3pm.

 

Update: BP Dorado only at Costco Morena. Really wanted to get them for 5 bucks but I'll happily settle for the 6 or 7 they're priced around the area.

 

I'm in the middle of my first bottle, wow just an excellent beer. I have to pick up a couple more bottles. Such a steal at this price.
