by my reckoning you should have just about finished that sickly sugar bomb by now, hope something better is in store for you tonight.

Tried Marble's Earl Grey IPA at the Euston Tap last night. It's pleasant enough, albeit very perfumed (as you'd expect). I also had two pints of Magic Rock's Dark Arts, which is a spectacular stout on cask.

Had my Westy 12 at long last. Lovely dark fruit and spice, very rum-like and a little heavy on the carbonation for me. Not what I was expecting at all. 100 on BA and Ratebeer is a little too much hype, but it is still a good, complex flavour. I'd give it a good 80 odd I reckon.
Weirdly the only beer my girlfriend has wanted another sip of. I hope I haven't found the one beer she likes after paying what I did for it.

Yup! It was rather sweet - lambics with sweetners tend to have a faint artificial flavour that lurks and makes it even worse. Never mind.....

I've had a rather old Hole-Hearted and am now sipping on Sunbeam Ales' Honey + Lavender. An interesting effort; the lavender is well judged and quite subtle.

Coursework finally finished, celebratory beer ahoy. I think a whole 750 of Cuvee St. Gilloise to myself should suffice.

Just finished a bottle of Bristol United Brewer's Collaboration 2012 Smoked Porter. Six breweries - one beer. Pretty good it was too.....

Wrapping things up with an Old Tom.

Out for lunch, tried the Reverend James, it was so nice that I had two more.
I remember not being too impressed with this beer in the past ; perhaps when it came from the Crown Buckley brewery , must have been 20 years back.
