Going to Houston Monday-Tuesday

    I'll be all over the city on business, can anyone name some good beer bars. Also what good bottle shops are there ? Pretty much just Specs Smith St right ? I might stay in a hotel downtown and catch something within walking distance. (the bar not the bottle shop)

    Im going to be there mon/tues for business as well and was going to hit Petrol Station on Monday night.

    Petrol Station and Hay Merchant, I hear. There's a new place called D&T Drive Inn that's supposed to be good, too.

    Cottonwood is great, they have BB Hellfighter on cask now. Don't forget about the Bishop's Barrel release tomorrow. It's just around the corner from Petrol.

    I'm also in Houston today through Friday. Staying I. Sugar land town center. Anybody know of anything going on this week that I should try to hit up? Evenings are free. Headed to flying saucer by my hotel now for food and drink!

    Petrol+ both Saucers for bars, if in southeast, hit Nobi Public house!

    bars with awesome food-- Cottonwood + Hay Merchant

    D+Q and Specs Downtown for bottleshops.

    If downtown, Flying Saucer is right there. You can catch the train up to McGowen St and visit Mongoose Versus Cobra. MKT Bar has a surprising selection as well.

    Stores: Specs, D&Q, Premium Draught and Growlers.

    Just spent the evening at flying saucer in sugar land. Nice place, solid selection. Apparently they are doing a bunch of stuff for craft beer week. Tomorrow is boulevard and Tuesday is st Arnold's. I will probably spend my evenings there for the next two days. If anyone would like to meet up let me know. Ohio guy lucked into a bar within walking distance to hotel that is having special events... I'm pretty happy with my predicament!

    Taps at D&T were pretty impressive while I was down there. Bitter Belgian held up real nicely and they had DR13 on tap too. Could drink that Lone Pint Yellow Rose all day long...
