...and Black Sheep Pizza in St. Paul as well.

 

I had this mid April and it was phenomenal, thought it was the best batch I have had. Had it this last weekend and it definitely had faded and I didn't enjoy it as much.

 

The Lowry in Uptown still had Black Note and BCBS on tap as of this afternoon.

 

That is nuts. The Black Note has been on for 8 days and the BCBS has been on for almost two weeks!

 

I don't see it on their beer list.

Just tapped the 2 Gingers barrel Oatmeal Stout firkin at Kieren's.

 

Black Note and BCBS confirmed on tap still. Sipping a black note now.

 

They don't seem to update their in-house beer lists either, which is probably why this stuff is still on. The two times that I went by they handed me beer lists that were missing all of the relevant stuff.

 

Yep, we went last light and I had a couple nice $10 pours. Wasn't on the menu there as you stated and the waitress didn't even know about it!

 

anything interesting on in downtown Minneapolis, preferably within walking distance of Fine Line?

also wondering if anyone knows a spot near there that allows outside bottles for a corkage fee? A buddy and I are going to the black moth super rainbow show tomorrow night and would love to have something fun on tap, or bring something nice from home to enjoy before the concert.

 

Haute Dish is reasonably close walk and while I haven't been there for happy hour, the bartender said that they have a special with their burger and a beer for $10. The burger itself is a $12 burger normally and pretty tasty. Not a huge selection of beers, but a solid one. No idea if all are available for that deal, but they also have other discounting for happy hour, so probably a buck or two off. But the place gets a little pricey for just a pre-concert stop, when not on happy hour, but it is about the most convenient for the area when looking for a good beer selection.

BTW, send me a message on here if you do come up with a place. There is a possibility that I might be going to thsi show, as well and if so, I am always down for a pre-show beer or two.

 

Has anyone tried Fulton's Insurrection? Is it still on?

 

Tried Insurrection Saturday before the Twins game. Not impressed. Pretty good, but malty & sweet for a IIPA with not much in the way of hop bite. Would have Ringer Pale all day over Insurrection.

 

Bitter Brewer launch @ 5 pm today @ Republic Uptown...amongst other American Craft Beer Week events.

Why do I get the feeling that Jesus must work there and is pulling another "loaves and fishes" type miracle with these never ending beers.
