By the way, I think there should be another iteration of this BIF with a title "The Island of Misfit Whales"

    Looking forward to that one!

I think we should have pranked Cam by putting our own submissions as number 1 & 2, and every other beer 3-57 randomly.

That's pretty much what a few people did... needless to say... they won't be matching

Not really expecting to match, as I probably value my own bottle a lot higher than most people (guess it's not really "unwanted", huh? ). If I do though, I'll be happy.

Seem like not a lot of matching happens in this round. Time to sign up for the next round.

I placed one of my bottles at 7th (it was in the top 5 that Cam listed) and the other at 15th. I sure hope I match with somebody!

I think I put mine at 13 and 14. That means I wont be getting your whales tyler :grinning:

Wait... just thought of something. Are we matching partners here? Or can I be sending my bottles to a person, where that person sends to another... and I receive person C's bottles? Or is it set up so that bottles only get exchanged between 2 people?

Doesn't really affect the mystery of it, or my opinion of this BIF. This is mayhem and I approve every bit of it.

Some people probably signed up to see what other bottles would come out for the BIF. Once they saw the list, they decided they'd rather keep their own bottles than trade them for any on the list.

I cant blame them though, what if one of there personal whales popped up then it would make for a good shot to get it if thats the only one you rank above your very desirable bottle that other people would want.

Id like to see how people ranked the list even without names just to see how different we are. I would guess these lists are all over the place.

But....you kinda saw a preview of what was coming ahead of time, that should have given everyone an idea of what would be productive in this BIF.

No beer has been ranked by every participant!

13 beers have been ranked by over half of the participants who have submitted..
among them are 6 of the top 11 beers as well as the 21st and 24th highest ranked beers.
Of the top 10, 8 are sours

Almost done my rankings. But I find it really interesting that 8 of top 10 are sours. 1 of course is Wooden Hell, but what's the other? Rye Papier? Narke Cognac? PVW 5050?

Sours are quite the trend aren't they?
I pretty much figured this would happen!
Excited to see the final outcome!
